AMSA's 59th Annual Convention

March 12th-15th

Hyatt Regency Crystal City,  Arlington, VA

 Details and registration: www.amsa.org

This is American Medical Student Association national convention, at which more than 1,000 MD/DO students gather. This is a great opportunity to introduce ourselves, who we are and what we do. There is an openness among the medical students of today to natural methods of healing and a genuine willingness to learn more. By forming personal ties and getting to know each other as people, we can start to forge the ties that will allow us to work together towards a better quality health system bases on wellness, and to get to the place where we can practice what it is we were trained to do and have patients referred to us.

There are 3 sessions of naturopathic medicine planned:

1. Thursday March 12th, 11:00 am. Dr. Amy Rothenberg will be giving a talk entitled: "A naturopathic doctor moves into town, how do I use them?"

2. Friday March 13th, 6:30 - 9:00 pm - Naturopathic Medicine Interest Group organizational time, a joint MD/ND student case analysis and a social mixer with 'naturopathic snacks'.

3. Saturday March 14th, 10:30 am - Integrative Medicine Grand Rounds - Anne Nedrow, MD, FACP, Associate Professor, Oregon Health and Science University; Medical Director, Women's Primary Care and Integrative Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University's Center for Women's Health  and Carla Y. Kreft, ND, LAc, MSOM
