Daniel Leek Memorial Research Scholarship

Congratulations to Bastyr student, Joshua Goldenberg who took home the first $1000 annual Daniel Leek Memorial Research Scholarship for his updated Cochrane meta-analysis titled, "Probiotics to Prevent Pediatric Antibiotic Associated Diarrhea." The 2011 scholarship was held in conjunction with the Student Research Hall at the NMSA Student Conference on Sunday, August 21st in Phoenix, AZ.

Michelle Eustache Health Equity Grant

Congratulations to SCNM student, Danielle Lewis, who was awarded the first $1000 annual Michelle Eustache Health Equity Grant for her work in Bamenda, Cameroon. Read more about her project and the inspiration for the Grant below.

The Vis Philosophy Scholarship

Congratulations to CCNM student Aline Potvin for winning the $500 2011 Vis Philosophy Scholarship. This scholarship was designed to challenge naturopathic medical students to reflect on the philosophy of naturopathic medicine, beyond what is asked of them within the confines of the required academic curriculum. The 2012 Vis Philosophy scholarship will award $500 to 2 winners at this year's Student Conference. Stay tuned for specific details for the essay competition

 

Bob's Red Mill Speech Scholarship

 
The Bob's Red Mill Speech Scholarship honors 3 students every year who have displayed excellence in oratory skills. Each of the three finalists delivered a 10 minute speach on the topic, "Food as Medicine" at the Northwest Naturopathic Physicians Convention (NWNPC).  The 1st place winner recieves a $7000 scholarship!!!
