2010 – 2011 NMSA Bastyr Chapter Activities:

Student Activities
 

  • MD/ND Mixer - University of Washington MD and Bastyr ND students met to mingle, swap stories and share a few beers.

  • Alternative Healthcare Access Campaign (AHAC) Free Clinic - The NMSA Bastyr Chapter, the Bastyr Naturopaths Without Boarders club, and AHAC work together to run a monthly free clinic at the Frye transitional apartments in downtown Seattle.

  • ZRT Cup - Bastyr Team.

  • End of Year ND Mixer – ND students and staff celebrated the end of another successful school year.

  • Art Day - A stress relieving event hosted for Bastyr students during their midterms.

Lectures Hosted by the NMSA Bastyr Chapter

  • John Weeks - The political environment for naturopaths and other alternative healthcare providers over the past 20-30 years.

  • AMSA Convention Review with Renee Choi (the NMSA’s AMSA Representative).

  • Drs. Levy – Meditation Workshop.

  • Dr. Sun - Qi Gong and the Body, Mind and Spirit connection.

  • Deborah Senn - The passage of insurance coverage for naturopaths in the state of Washington (in conjunction with CHPL).

  • John Weeks –The healthcare bill and what it means for NDs.
